On Keith Olbermann's "Indefinite Suspension"

It was a very busy day.  And a very good day . . . totally/completely self-indulgent . . . the kind of day I don't often get.

Got home late to find out that Keith Olbermann has been "suspended indefinitely" by MSNBC for making political contributions to Democratic candidates.

It's an ethics violation . . . kinda like non-profit hospital executives committing perjury, I would suppose, if perjury mattered in Randolph County.

As for Keith, not a fan (I liken him to fingernails on chalkboard).

Tonight, I listened to some of his colleagues (on other networks) spin this shocking development.  One of the talking-heads defended our hero suggested that the "rules" for some journalists needed to be softened . . . and that's because the nature of journalism - particularly cable journalism - has changed.

"Everyone knows" Keith is an in-the-tank, deep-blue, partisan hack.

I actually appreciate the argument.  I would like to see Keith look into the camera with his best poor-put-upon-puppy-dog face and argue that MSNBC's action was unjust . . . because he's not a real journalist . . .

. . . kinda like the Courier Tribune's Ray Criscoe.
