Love The Child You Have

In the Personal Statement I wrote for my Pediatric residency application, I wrote about encountering a case like this in medical school.

In my travels, I've encountered several cases since.

There are no good options.  I applaud these parents for choosing to love the child they have, for as long as they can.

(As a matter of update, my cousin's son decided against going to medical school.  I think it's a very wise decision that will make for a much happier personal life.)
