Related to a September 19th Housecalls post, the Courier Tribune had a story up late Saturday night (which I assume will be in the Sunday paper) on Pat & Mike Bradshaw's long battle with the City of Asheboro over the fair administration/management of the Farmer's Market.
Only time will tell how long the story is featured on the Courier's online "front page". Embarrassing stories to the powers-that-be tend to get buried very quickly.
I've only skimmed the article tonight (which, on first glance, does not appear to be the Courier's usual hatchet-job) and I've not talked to Pat or Mike since it went up - so I am withholding comment except to say that I see nothing in Mary Anderson's piece that specifically addresses what was "caught on tape" at the end of a 2/9/2006 Asheboro City Council meeting (current Commerce Secretary Keith Crisco was a Council member at that time) . . . something that no one present then can comment on now - or recall.
Someone who sounded a lot like current Mayor, David Smith, said that "we" (i.e. the Council) "hired" Courier reporter (I have good reason to use the term loosely) "Chip" Womick.
Womick suddenly walked out of the meeting prior to Pat's presentation.
It certainly was very convenient for the city.
We in Asheboro don't just have to worry about "A Communist Living in the White House". We've got to worry about Pravda and City Hall.
I'm kinda wondering why "the journalist" who has smirked at me on any number of occasions when I appeared at Council meetings (as opposed to interviewing me with regards to the very serious FELONY charges I've leveled against Randolph Hospital executives) still has a job.
As my previous post pointed out, the era of David Renfro (deaf, dumb and blind to anything that didn't service exactly what "the right people" wanted) needs to be over. There are more local stories for the Courier Tribune to tell.
I know all about settling a lawsuit under totally false pretenses . . . and wanting justice/vindication after YEARS of suffering.
I'm still waiting on the Randolph Hospital Board of Directors to man-up and take responsibility for the AMORAL/DESPICABLE/UNETHICAL/ILLEGAL things their WAY over-rated/over-paid executives did to a Pediatrician for answering a desperate phone call in the middle-of-the-night twelve years ago and doing her job . . . to PROVE that they have some "small town values" . . . and that Randolph really is about "care you can trust".
I'm still waiting on Garland Yates to stop sucking-up/playing dead and do his job.
And I have yet to hear from Diane Winnemuller.
