Practically Speaking, Governor Perdue, Let's Get REAL

I have no love whatsoever for North Carolina Governor Bev "Dumpling" Perdue.  As far as I am concerned, she's Sleazely in a skirt.

I did not always think this way.  A long time ago, when I still believed that simply writing government officials and asking them for help might actually work, someone told me that of all the politicos in Raleigh, Bev Perdue would be "the one" to listen.  She was a Mom.  She really cared about children.  And what happened to a child advocate in Asheboro would move her to action.

What a load of horse-hockey that was.  Bev was no different than any of the other Sleazeballs in Raleigh . . . blowing their hot air.

And today, on the same day that she rolls out an uber-lame "review" process to reduce red tape in government (I even got a fricking e-mail - which my computer wisely deleted as SPAM), it is announced that her campaign is under Federal investigation.

Only in North Carolina . . . where another favorite son I once wrote to is battling it out in court for ownership of his sex tape.

All of this ranks right up there with the chicken poop the N&O is currently shoveling . . . that N.C. Secretary of State Elaine Marshall (running for Richard Burr's Senate seat) is a political outsider, and only in the game to help we ordinary folk.

My comment on the N&O's "Let's Get Practical" story:

Yes, let's get "practical". And REAL.

I have been writing children-loving Beverly Perdue for a outside "review" by the Attorney General & SBI of what happened to me as a Pediatrician in public service (to the National Health Service Corps and NC Office of Rural Health) in Asheboro since she was Sleazely's Lt. Governor.

And I can ASSURE everyone reading this story that writing ANYONE in a position of oversight (particularly if they are a politician) in the great state of North Carolina is a massive waste of one's time. Just ask anyone recently in the state's employ. Accountability and fair play are non-existent. It's all about who you know.

The big blue dawgs are going to wink and nod and snicker and spit and do a whole lot of nothing - particularly if you're telling an inconvenient truth about one of their "friends". Justice is most definitely NOT for all.

In my own case, "Dumpling" has a history of partying-for-money with the non-profiteers I've accused of amoral/unethical/illegal things.

When she and her chief law enforcement officers decide to do right by this ordinary citizen with a blog, then maybe I will give credence to these inane, obviously strategically-timed announcements. But I'm not holding my breath until after the mid-terms - when I hope the election results put the fear of God into some of these posers and public leeches.

From Bev's e-mail (which I retrieved from SPAM):

“What has prevented you as a business person from creating a job? What has prevented you as an entrepreneur from developing something innovative?” Gov. Perdue said. “I’m calling on all the people of North Carolina to really step up and tell me what rules aren’t working.”

Well, Bev.  It's a long story, but the bottom line is that I was brought home with state and Federal money to do a job (i.e. "clean up Pediatrics at Randolph Hospital) . . . and got fired for doing it . . . the right way

So much for innovation.

I was supposed to be able to transition into my own private practice if I wanted . . . but that was a total bust . . . because the rules were not worth the paper they're printed on

So much for any chance of being an entrepreneur.

Then I got SLAPP-sued for telling the truth to the government I served.

So much for stepping up.

And then I was swindled by as-yet-uninvestigated-unprosecuted perjury, contempt, and fraud on the part of the oily, non-profiteers running Randolph Hospital.  I can't get beyond a kiss-the-right-people's-butt local DA's office . . . and your state Attorney General has been a brain-dead coward for his entire tenure in office.

(And God knows, our local journalists are worthless.)

So much for accountability and transparency and justice for all.

If anyone is actually buying Bev's clap-trap, here's the website where you can make your suggestions to the Governor:

Right now, mine are not printable.  Ergo, "common sense" says don't bother.  We're less than two weeks before mid-terms, Bev and her party are in heapum big trouble, and it's all spin.
