Darren Stevens: The Master's Radio

Darren Stevens, 42, lifelong resident of Ramseur and host of "The Family Friendly Morning Show" on WBFJ Christian Radio (89.3 FM) died yesterday after undergoing an emergency appendectomy Friday at Randolph Hospital.

He is survived by his wife and three children.

My favorite cover of "Turn Your Radio On" is by the original Hee Haw Gospel Quartet (Buck Owens, Roy Clark, Grandpa Jones and Kenny Price).  Alas, I could not find a recording on You Tube.  But I did find Elvis's favorite bass vocalist, the incomparable, JD Sumner of The Stamps

This one is for Darren:

We'll understand it, all by and by.

Evening Update:  Darren was a blogger.
