CNN Has More On Tom Little . . .

. . . the doctor who was murdered by the Taliban in Afghanistan for the horrible sin of trying to prevent blindness in a country ravaged by war.

His wife says they hung in and kept going back for the ordinary people - who treated them wonderfully and valued what they did.  I am familiar with the concept . . .

. . . although it's something I credit much more to the people of Eastern North Carolina than those in my own hometown.
