Mr. Christensen, Mr. Robinson, The National Enquirer Actually Deserves That Pulitzer

When it comes to John Edwards, the North Carolina mainstream press is still in mourning.

First, on Sunday, the N&O's Rob Christensen posted what amounted to a pathetic journalistic whine (I registered the "I ain't buying it" in the thread there). Now we have the N&R's John Robinson (I'm banned at the Editor's Blog . . . it's a badge of honor I proudly wear) rationalizing waiting to be spoon-fed the press releases.

The contortions they're going through to justify their uselessness (or should I say lack of relevance?) is priceless. Absolutely priceless.

These main-stream "reporters", who fancy themselves among North Carolina's finest, simply cannot admit that, in their slobbering and fawning over a North Carolina "favorite son" whose coat-tails to journalistic glory they hoped to ride, they did not do their jobs . . .

. . . or that the Enquirer (now reporting that a Federal indictment is imminent) actually deserves that Pulitzer.
