While home over the Christmas holidays, rumor had it that "Mick" Irwin, M.D. is no longer practicing in Asheboro and has moved back "down East".
I currently practice "down East", and just about nothing would un-nerve me more than crossing the path of the Neonatology wannabe whose butt Randolph Hospital executives covered so thoroughly for Cone (just another reason, I'd warn any Pediatrician looking at RMA/Randolph Hospital to STAY AWAY . . . go somewhere else . . . have a nice life . . . because you won't if you trust the crowd running that place).
For the record, JCAHO was nowhere to be found with regards to that "sentinel event". It was all very nicely covered up. But hey, I'm "disruptive", and need to get over it.
Of course, despite all the nasty notices they sent out late last year about physicians updating their web profiles (or else), the Medical Board does not have a clue.
If anyone has the scoop, please e-mail me. I'd really like to maintain a wide berth.
