Although "the big one" in Massachusetts (and it's aftershock in Arlington) was not reported last night, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) actually has a mechanism via which one can sign up for "earthquake e-mail alerts".
The link is here.
I found the site while fact-checking on this post, and registered immediately. The site is not just about earthquakes. But already, going over some of the data has been quite fascinating (especially if you're the least bit worried about when the Yellowstone "super-volcano" is going to blow).
And I am. Because that's what I do . . . worry about stuff that probably won't happen until way long after I'm dust in the wind.
I'd like to think I'll be red dust;)
There was a 6.1 aftershock in Haiti today. You didn't necessarily hear it here first.
