Cyberstalking Update: Case 2009056649 CR Continued

I was supposed to take a break this weekend.

From a letter, dated January 22, in UPS this afternoon . . . from Clark Bell, "Lawyer" and Asheboro City Council Member:

Re: State of North Carolina vs. Jeffrey Ray Martin

Dear Dr. Johnson:

Please be advised that I will be making a motion to continue the above referenced case in court on Feburary 23, 2010. Your appearance on February 23, 2o1o will not be necessary.

If you should have any questions, please contact the Randolph County District Attorney's office.

Very truly yours,

Clark R. Bell

At least Bell addressed me as "Doctor" (as opposed to "Ms.", "Miss", or "Honey"). That's real progress for Randolph County.

It works for me. Whatever and whenever. I've not heard word one out of the DA's office. I guess I'll be contacting them next week with my hospital call schedule . . . already carved in stone and scrolled out until the end of the year (I'm home/in Asheboro 9 consecutive days every month) . . . so we can work the next Court date around that.

Short of a guilty plea, retractions, and an apology, I WILL be there.

Unless, of course, one of Mr. Clark's stall tactics is going to be imposing hardship on the target of his client's cyber-wrath (not-to-mention her colleagues/patients) . . . and interfering with the on-call responsibilities of a Pediatrician who works 4 hours away . . . not that our DA's office ever gave any consideration to that before.

Meanwhile, someone (who appears to be spending quite a bit of time on Housecalls) dropped a comment in the Inbox (on my "Conan" post) just a few minutes ago - from a Greensboro IP address (Host Name: cpe-174-098-172-113.triad.res.rr.com . . . IP Address 174.98.172.113 . . . Safari 4.o . . . Operating System Mac OSX):

"This is the first time I've seen you post something positive. The meds must be working."

The comment (which sure sounds like classic "Fec") was rejected. However, I've saved the StatCounter data in the file I've been keeping on "unfriendlies" since Martin had his keyboard meltdown.

This, ladies & gentlemen, is "blogging", Greensboro, North Carolina style.

I hear it makes Ed-Cone-of-the-Cones weep.
