Exhibit C: From Dr. Laurie Anderson

I'm moving this "Exhibit" project on along, as I really want to get to my posts on the Medical Board and the Mick Irwin fiasco.

Exhibit A (Dr. Robert Scott) and Exhibit B (Dr. Randy McVeigh) are up.

Here is Exhibit C, dated October 29, 1998, courtesy of Dr. Laurie Anderson:

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been a colleague and friend of Dr. (Mary) Johnson for over three years. I have observed her clinical skills with all pediatric patients, ranging from sick neonates, to children with special needs, to abused children. She has been my children's Pediatrician since we moved here.

Dr. Johnson lives her role as a Pediatrician. She ensures that her patients receive the highest quality of care, often going above and beyond the call of duty. She is tireless and passionate about her patients. I rank her judgment and performance as a case manager to be of the highest order.

I have worked with Dr. Johnson during the difficult changes in management and contracts at Randolph Medical Associates. I will also be leaving RMA in January. Many of Dr. Johnson's former patients have spoken to me about her.

She is, and will be, sorely missed.

I recommend Dr. Johnson to you as one of the best Pediatricians I have ever known. She would be an outstanding addition to any practice or medical staff.

Laurie Anderson, M.D.
Randolph Medical Associates

Now, after he (with the help of Randolph Hospital's sleazeball lawyers) put me in the windowless contractual box that doctors in North Carolina can be shoved into (due to its sad/sorry/antiquated "right to work" laws - and a Medical Board that just hasn't cared), Mike Bridges went all over the place telling everyone how "wonderful" things were at the office in the wake of my departure. The staff was happy again. The "tension" in the office had melted away.

Of course, that might have been Dr. Riley's spin . . . she who was observed at the hospital to be positively giddy in the days after I was banned from seeing patients at RMA.

But Laurie, who was dealing with all the "wonderful" created by angry parents . . . a demoralized staff (I left one nurse sobbing in the break room when I walked out the door for the last time) . . . and a partner/"representative" who was clearly NOT representing her . . . as well as a doubled work-load, clearly disagreed with Mr. Bridges . . .

. . . Mr. Bridges being the visionary practice director, who as we've established, never even moved to Asheboro during his brief, disastrous tenure at RMA.

Laurie relocated to Arkansas. She left a baby son buried in a graveyard here. He fell victim to a congenital heart defect at the tender age of two days. I promised his Father I would look in on him from time to time. But I am ashamed to say that I've let that duty lapse over the last year or so. It's something I have not been able to bear to do.

Once again, I cannot emphasize enough to any Pediatrician looking at a position with RMA or Randolph Hospital: STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL AS LONG AS BOB MORRISON AND STEVEN EBLIN REMAIN EMPLOYED TO RUN IT!
