In Celebration Of "Free" Healthcare

More from the N&R: "Free Healthcare Providers Seeing Increase In Visits".

Maybe, just maybe, that's because the "Not-Free" Physicians (I hate the term "provider"), have been nickled and dimed into corners so much that "pro bono" work is impossible.

We have no drug samples in our closets because the high-minded big brothers & sisters have decided that a drug-rep's squeezed-in lunch is a conflicted interest.

But an expensive retreat for the not-so-right/not-so-honorable fat-cats on the Board of Directors is not.

Meanwhile, patients have to make "concessions". At some point (Roch), when looking for someone to blame (other than the "rich" doctor), one must look in the mirror. When you demand the best for nothing . . . when you lead you own life irresponsibly and rely upon entitlements-beyond-the-basic rights-to-pursue happiness-&-liberty in order to get by . . . when you treat those "providers" (whose only way to make a living is to bill for the expert/specialized services they trained for years & years to provide) like dirt . . . it comes back to you.

And, of course, some of us were just stomped - by liars and crooks most certainly not doctors - and most certainly not working for free.

No one in government or law enforcement batted an eye.

But the government is gonna get us out of this mess.

Is my story relevent yet, JR?

(And pssst, Mr. Ewing. The care is NOT "free". Someone somewhere is paying for it.)
