Brenda, in a thread at Joe's (where I rolled up my sleeves and did battle with Roch) has clued me into the "Taxpayer Tea Party" movement - a grassroots effort on the part of ordinary (mostly conservative) folk opposed to selling our futures and souls . . . under the cover of fear-mongering . . . to bail out all manner of stupidity and badness.
I loved Joe's last comment: Yes, we could use a health care fix in this country. But the dominant voices right now are clueless, and agenda-driven precisely in the wrong direction. I hope we can somehow overcome that.
I suppose you could say I've been doing my part by hosting my own little medical "tea party" on this blog for four years.
OBTW, I'm partial to Earl Grey. With a lemon slice. No sugar.
