We're talking about my cat, Sabine - the "French" black one with hemophilia and multiple environmental & food allergies.
She has taken to soaking one of her little fuzzy-ball toys in her water bowl (I guess that makes it seem more "alive"), then bringing it over the armchair where I am sitting/blogging on the laptop, and dumping it over the arm into my lap. I pat her on the head and throw the nasty/icky imaginary dead thing across the room. She goes to fetch it, bats it around for a while, then repeats the process.
She can do it for hours.

Kaya Kitty Jones does almost the same thing except she spares me the ickyness of the wet mess. She will bat a wad of paper around for a while and then swat it to where I am sitting and sit beside me and meow until I swat it across the room which sends her scrambling after it and she proceeds to repeat the process. Kats is smarter than people ain't they?
Well, I don't know how smart they are.
But mine are wrapped tightly around my heart;)

That just shows to go you that Kats is smarter than peoples.
we used to have a cat named HOBBS. He liked those toys that you could hook to a door frame and it had enough elastic that it reached almost to the floor. He could pounce on it and then he would let go and watch it bounce. Until the day he noticed that he could grab it and back up with it still in his mouth. There were too many unsuspecting times I would come home from work, and walk around the corner to the bathroom and be ZINGED in the head with a catnip mouse!! (only to repeat this action several times)
As I recall, Hobbsy was a cat whose presence LINGERED IN THE AIR even after he was long gone;)
