When Navy Surgeon Generals Lie

Not so long ago, I blogged on the story of Dr. Eric Gluck, a surgeon in the world's finest Navy . . . and victim of bad-faith medical peer review.

Today, the man primarily responsible for the utter destruction of Eric's career was profiled by the Philadelphia Inquirer, and not in a good way (the Chicago Tribune actually broke the story last year). It seems that the officer & gentleman so quick to judge, attack and strip the credentials of others, has a problem with his own credentials. He lied about them. As it stands now, the fraud is likely to be blown off by Navy officials and the hospital were he currently works. It's only your tax dollars at work.

Now, VADM Donald Caldwell Arthur BA, (MA?), MD, (PhD?),(JD?), MC, USN, (retired and taking a $138,000/yr pension . . . in addition to a $420,000 salary as a hospital administrator) has determined that the "controversy is behind him". He was quoted as saying, "Quite frankly, I'm done . . .".

No Admiral. You're not done. Not as long as Eric and others languish as collateral damage in your path of destruction on your way to the top.
