Gems In The Rough

Eastern North Carolina, land of my Mama's people, really is a remarkable place. And it has always been amazing to me how that . . . even in the most remote/rural/desolate place . . . in the middle of fricking nowhere . . . where even the invading space aliens don't go . . . you can find a diamond in the blackest black mud.

I found three diamonds today.

It was a good day:)

Laid back, with hospitable, if not downright pleasant natives, and plenty of good food. What more could one want from a place?
