Airborne

I have been busy at home this week with a multitude of projects . . . that and I've been sick-as-a-dawg for the last three days . . . I think with some dormant bug that was living on a dusty Beanie Baby hanging from my kitchen chandelier (it's a long story). I knew as soon as I inhaled that airborne sucker that I was going down for the count. It went straight for the surgical scars in my right sinus cavity and set up shop. And I felt the burn within seconds.

Let me just say, the headaches were exquisite.

I am working on two upcoming posts . . . one on the fascist excuse North Carolina has for a State Bar (scheduled to go up tomorrow) . . . and the other a detailed, name-dropping post on the events leading up to my termination from Randolph Medical Associates eleven years ago tomorrow (currently scheduled to go up by Friday).

Let's just say they're lessons on how the real world works for those of us who got that education, and followed all the rules, yet don't don't drink the Koolaid.

You could say TruBlu was the catalyst for the second post. I am sick and tired of taking the slings and arrows for colleagues I totally let off the hook for libel, slander and negligence . . . while the mill town bosses charged with oversight of the hospital that employed me looked the other way.

Meanwhile, for your entertainment, Joe Guarino has a spot-on post up on what SCHIP (i.e. the State Children's Health Insurance Program) really is and what its inclusion in the "stimulus" package really means.

It's most certainly NOT for the children. This program is all and only about feeding entitled, irresponsible and/or greedy adults. It's also about the Democratic Party buying votes . . . using our children/grandchildren's future as collateral.

This week, Dr. Mary is cranky and she's airborne.
