Was That An "A Priori" Or "A Posteriori" Concept?

In a post very much worth noting, Jeff Sykes re-thinks his position on gay "marriage".

It is an issue/notion I have stuggeled mightily with. I posted a comment there.

Mary: That's a good question. I'll try to give it some thought. Thanks for your comments.

Well Jeff, the question occurred to me as I read your post.

It seems your position (and mine) are products of dogma/doctrine (i.e. what we were raised on) tempered by life experience . . . and love/compassion for our friends - who we very much want to be happy.

We are "of the world".

And that's why we struggle so.

American as "filial piety", right?

We so don't respect our ancestory here.

Alas, no, we do not.
