You know, I just don't get how some people think. As someone who wanted children, but never had them and now cannot, I simply do not fathom this.
Nebraska's safe haven law was intended to allow parents to hand over an infant anonymously to a hospital without being prosecuted. Of the 34 children who have been dropped off at hospitals, officials said, not one has been an infant.
"Please don't bring your teenager to Nebraska," Gov. Dave Heineman told CNN. "Think of what you are saying. You are saying you no longer support them. You no longer love them."
Todd Landry of Nebraska DHHS had this to say, "We want people to understand that this is not the right way of getting the service for your child, your teenager or your family."
It is most certainly NOT the right way.

And not one has been an infant? Well, I can fully understand that... a infant sleeps, eats, and poops... kind of like a bird, but the birds usually poops on your windshield or hair and sings as it is doing it. That's probably what saves their little feathered lives.(being really sweet here):-)
On the other hand, babies grow up and then at times you find yourself wondering what in the name of God, you did wrong in your parenting that would ever make you wish you were actually having a root cannel instead of a pap smear!
I dare not make light of anyone not being able to have children, as I really have been blessed in my life, even in the worst times. I promise not to ship mine off, but if you ever want to borrow two of them, please by all means let me know. :-) They love cats!
Hugs to the Queen! :-)
