Disgusted with months of biased election coverage (not to mention the Wray fiasco), Joe Guarino cancels his subscription to the Greensboro N&R and stops advertising with them.
The club just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
Newspapers in the tank deserve to be in the tank.
It was my hope that after the alcohol referendum, Asheboro's Courier Tribune would feel a similar sting . . . from much-maligned, ill-treated "Drys" canceling subscriptions. I don't know if they did.
But it's never too late;)

Burie4d in the back of the N & R was a story about the paper offering a buyout to it's employees in an effort to redue it's full-time staff by 10%. If not enough people accept, the paper will be forced to separate some employees from their jobs.
Cited was increased printing and distribution costs.
