I spent the better part of this morning with a newborn who had to go somewhere else.
The tertiary-care NICU sent a pretty bird. One of the RN's on the transport team said that they ran into snow flurries. Without windows in the immediate vicinity to confirm this (and pre-occupied with figuring out how to write a decent note using the new EMR system before they left), I was a non-believer. When I finally left the hospital, although it was REALLY cold outside (and "felt like snow"), the skies were overcast but clear. I chuckled to myself, "Snow down East? Yeah sure. Like that's gonna happen."
I just looked up from the computer and looked out the window. I think maybe they did run into some snow on the way back. You see, right now, it's snowing sideways!
In mid-November. In Eastern North Carolina. So totally cool (forgive the pun).
