This morning, after watching the "round-table" discussion on ABC"s "This Week", I came dangerously close to having to make an emergency trip to Best Buy.
I had switched channels after watching Bob Schieffer lob doe-eyed softballs to Nancy Pelosi on "Face the Nation". In a discussion about a "New New Deal", liberal hack Arianna Huffington, now posing as a mainstream media pundit (God help us), was singing Obama's praises (like Oprah, she apparently has his ear) . . . waxing poetic about national public & human service programs . . . about citizens "sacrificing" and "giving of themselves" for the good of communities and the country.
Hey sweetie. Stick to blogging. Been there, done that. GAVE AT THE OFFICE! Long BEFORE any economic crisis . . . in the *&^%$# Clinton administration. Did EVERYTHING I was supposed to do - I gave and gave and gave. And I still have the open wounds from the knives in my back.
So I've got NEWS for you: The government you place so much faith in DOES NOT PLAY FAIR when things are "good". Things are BAD now.
Sometimes it is very hard not to rip the TV from the wall and smash it to smithereens.
