The latest ad from the Obamanation just takes the cake.
"Talk to your boss. Take Election Day off."
You can't make "history" from your desk/job . . . the implication being that if you take the entire day just to vote, you'll cast it for Obama.
I'll be sure and share that little bit of logic with all the doctors, nurses, EMS personnel, policemen, firemen, teachers, military personnel, etc., etc., etc. who cannot just drop everything they're doing all day long in order to cast a vote for the New American Messiah.
This is leadership?
If you're stupid and selfish and entitled enough to do this, I hope your boss gives you the day off . . . and the day after that . . . and the day after that . . . and the day after that (in this "right to work" state).
Of course you don't have to worry . . . what with wealth redistribution and all.
P.S. Speaking of time off, I'll be on the road Wednesday night - coming in for some time off from a locums assignment FAR FROM HOME (because the oh-so-noble Democrats running North Carolina cannot seem to put action behind their rhetoric and enforce any of the laws that proved to be inconvenient for the people-who-fancy-themselves-very important running our local "non-profit" hospital), but if I were planted in front of a TV set, I'd be watching "Pushing Daisies" on ABC at 8 pm.
It's really a neat little show/concept.

How about taking the next four years off to ponder the ramifications of it all?
"the implication being that if you take the entire day just to vote, you'll cast it for Obama." -- Dr. J
I don't know why you are seeking some unfounded "implication" when the stated is obvious:
From the the video, "knock on doors, make calls, get out the vote."
So yes, that is leadership, thank you.
Ladies and gentlmen, we are all honored to have the GSO blogosphere's great fact-checker reading Dr J's Housecalls!
Next thing you know, political conservatives will all feel right at home at Converge South.
Excuse me while I break into song . . . "Ding Dong" . . . you know the rest.
Unfounded implication? Roch what are you smoking because you need to share.
On second thought, maybe not. Too many people seem to be smoking the same stuff.
A REAL leader would advocate voting AND doing your job or going to school. Not playing hookie.
Here's another thought: If I did take the day off, I would not be donating my not-so-free time to BHO, Thank You very much.
Damn tootin Dr. Mary. Only a wannabe two bit socialist dictator would call for something resembling a "general strike" . Of course Roch wouldn't agree since it's all for the good of the poor.(my butt)
I am surprised that Roch and his puppeteers are not calling for a general strike in this case. They must be slipping.
