I am trying to stay out of the political realm, but some things just PISS YOU OFF.
Last night, while puttering about the apartment where I'm staying, something on the TV in the background caught my attention. It was Obamomaniac Jane Fonda, being interviewed on some red carpet somewhere - speaking dismissively of the McCain ticket - and spouting off her over-lined mouth on Sarah Palin. Jane ultimately wants a woman in the White House . . . just not the one currently running beside John McCain.
From a quick look at Wikipedia: In October 1967 while on a bombing mission over Hanoi he (McCain) was shot down, badly injured, and captured by the North Vietnamese. He was a prisoner of war until 1973, experiencing episodes of torture and refusing an out-of-sequence early repatriation offer; his war wounds left him with lifelong physical limitations.
Let's compare that to Jane's entry (I will not belabor all of it): Fonda visited Hanoi in July 1972 . . . Fonda was photographed seated on an anti-aircraft battery used against American aircrews . . . she also participated in several radio broadcasts on behalf of the Communist regime, asking US aircrews to consider the consequences of their actions . . . during this visit she also visited American prisoners of war (POWs), and brought back messages from them to their families . . . when cases of torture began to emerge among POWs returning to the United States, Fonda called the returning POWs "hypocrites and liars" . . . She added, "These were not men who had been tortured. These were not men who had been starved. These were not men who had been brainwashed" . . . on the subject of torture in general, Fonda told The New York Times in 1973, "I'm quite sure that there were incidents of torture... but the pilots who were saying it was the policy of the Vietnamese and that it was systematic, I believe that's a lie."
Nuff said. To reiterate what I told Roch a few days back, in comparison to his detractors, John McCain has more character and more class in the pinkie attached to the hand on the arm he cannot raise (because the North Vietnamese tried to rip it off at the Hanoi Hilton) than they do in their whole bodies!
I'm sorry, but in my book "Hanoi Jane" equals lipstick on an ass.
Taking a cue from Snopes (which sorts out the ugly truth from the urban legend), I am beyond "Hanoi'd with Jane" and those in the entertainment realm like her.

Don't apologize for the truth. The woman would have been shot or hanged in WW2 but yet today she is looked upon as a hero of the leftnoids.
We have something we can agree on. Jane "The Traitor Bitch" should go live there. What she did to our servicemen and how she acted is unforgiveable. She can rot.
Some of us so called "leftnoids" hate her. She is no hero of mine.
Ticker uses the term "leftnoid" affectionately . . . most of the time.
;)
Don't you P?
