"A Statement Of Fact Cannot Be Insolent": On Vaccines

As I have said before, "Respectful Insolence" is perhaps my favorite medical blog. If I were not mired down in the Asheboro BS, it's the kind of blog I could only aspire to be.

Prompted by this post (which I found via Greensboro 101) on vaccines "causing" autism - not to mention several patient encounters over the last month (in which well-meaning parents cite this kind of stuff as a reason not to vaccinate), I felt compelled to comment (or more accurately, refer the reader to "Orac"). If parents do not want to have their child vaccinated (and cannot document a specific exemption), I generally & respectfully suggest that it is better for them to find a Pediatrician of like mind. That would not be me.

The Mighty Orac counters the "anti-vaccination" arguments beautifully - much better than I could, so I let his posts stand on their own.
