The Asheville Citizen-Times reports that North Carolina's new DHHS Secretary, Dempsey Benton (Carmen Hooker Odom took a cushy consultant's job in New York after a span of "leadership" that left the Department and state services in shambles) , is going to "take on system ills" and "collaborate" with citizens victimized by previous "mismanagement" of DHHS programs (particularly mental health). He's going to "listen to ideas". He's also going to "standardize oversight". And he's real concerned about "rural" services.
I'm hanging on tight with breathless anticipation!
