We're a week or so from Halloween. And given the debate in North Carolina over the death penalty, perhaps it is appropriate to consider some macabre musings on what actually happens in the final seconds of life - depending on the various ways people can "check out" (hat tip to Kevin).
Oh, and tell me again, that sometimes "Caesar" isn't absolutely right to impose the ultimate penalty.
