I was alerted to this story by a reader, who could not help but comment on the similarities to my case.
A judge in Randolph County has ordered Guilford County Commissioner Steve Arnold arrested and jailed in connection with a long-running development dispute in Archdale.
Superior Court Judge John O. Craig III issued the order Tuesday, declaring Arnold in civil contempt of court. The order says Arnold had failed to answer questions and provide documents to Elkes Development, LLC, which is involved in a lawsuit with Arnold's land-development company, Arcon Inc.
WAIT FOR IT . . .
"The real significance of this order is that no one is above the law," said David B. Puryear Jr., an attorney for Elkes.
THAT'S WHERE YOUR DEAD WRONG, MR. PURYEAR. THEY ARE.
My dispute with Randolph Hospital is "long-running" too. Where's Judge Craig when I need him?
NOT A SINGLE RANDOLPH COUNTY JUDGE . . . NOT THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY . . . NOT LAW ENFORCEMENT . . . CERTAINLY NOT ANY OF OUR LOCAL "JOURNALISTS" . . . HAVE GIVEN A ROYAL DAMN THAT DR. MARY JOHNSON WAS SWINDLED AT SETTLEMENT BY TWO FINE, UPSTANDING RANDOLPH COUNTY "NON-PROFITEERS" WHO DID EXACTLY SAME THING.
Except when you close the legal deal on a pack of lies, it's not just civil contempt anymore. It's CRIMINAL PERJURY, CONTEMPT AND FRAUD.
Yet Bob Morrison and Steve Eblin still have their well-paying jobs.
You see, "baby-loving" Randolph Hospital's Board of Directors certainly does not care about ethics.
Neither does the NC Medical Board or the NC Attorney General. This is one public service horror story that must be kept swept under the rug.
Commissioner Arnold says it's just a "mis-understanding" with an attorney.
That's the same old song and dance, Randolph Hospital Attorney, Robert Wilson (an "expert" on "non-profits") always gave me. Every single insult/slight/out-right lie was a "misunderstanding" or an "unintentional oversight" . . . or a "mistake" he would not have made.
It's funny how each of those "misunderstandings" and "unintentional oversights" and "mistakes" hurt me bad and hurt me BAD . . . as if those who inflicted them understood perfectly well what they were doing . . . and acted with both malice and intent.
This kind of stuff is not so "stunning" (Doug) to those of us on the receiving end of this kind of crap. You know . . . the people who don't buy your newspaper anymore because they KNOW journalism is a joke in this state.
The journalists are too busy feeling sorry (and/or covering) for their "friends" to investigate anything.
