After a month of multiple inquires to Mark Binker (whose "beat" Raleigh is), I am informed that House bill 818 was signed by the Governor on August 7.
The under-the-table act is complete. Not a single legislator or state law enforcement officer (including and especially NCDHHS's "lawyer", State Attorney General Roy Cooper) formally replied to my February correspondence.
After all, Nifong reported to jail today. In Roy's world, all is well with the NC justice system. Shovelling all that ^%$& must be pretty exhausting.
The NC Medical Board continues to pretend that me/my situation in Asheboro does not exist.
Meanwhile, if you're somebody very "important", your contempt order gets "stayed" so you can work it all out.
And Steve Arnold's gripe against private citizens who say he screwed them is front-page news: "This lawsuit, and I have to make this very clear, has only one victim. And that is Steve Arnold," he said. "Steve Arnold was robbed by the Elkeses. They are liars, and they are cheats. They are thieves."
Oh. You mean like "not-profit" gurus Bob Morrison and Steve Eblin? Who are still hiding their lies and abject failures behind bright shiny buildings and the gowns of those with cancer?
"I have long since given up hope of being able to get justice in this case," he said.
BOO HOO! Mr. Arnold. Some of us have been at this game FOR YEARS. STAND IN LINE.
