Beast Around The Corner

Everybody who knows me knows how I feel about Slick Willie Clinton and his carpet-bagging wife. But this declaration attributed to our former President (quoted by Pakistan's Daily Times and linked by Drudge) got my attention.

Cause' it's kinda how I feel.

I daresay, it's how Dubya feels too.

I've never understood anti-Semitism. I just don't get it. I mean, my Savior was a Jew. His Mother and Father were Jews. His disciples were Jews. Christianity and Judiasm are deeply intertwined. I was always taught that the Jews were God's chosen people. Jewish culture, the music, the history . . . all of it fascinates me. As for the Jews' "responsibility" for Christ's death . . . while Jesus may have been condemned to death by a bunch of jealous/frightened Sanhedrins, history is pretty clear that nothing happened in a Roman provence without being signed off on by the Governor. Pontias Pilate had the final say. Roman soldiers drove the nails.

And Rome fell.

Hitler tried to exterminate the Jews. Hitler wound up eating cyanide - his miserable body doused with gaseoline in a bunker. The Nazi's Third Reich fell.

I've done my fair share of reading on biblical prophecy. It's intense stuff.

The Nation of Israel tends to take care of herself very well, thank you. She pretty much has to. But I've always believed that as long as the United States supports the Nation of Israel, our nation will be blessed. The second we abandon Israel to the blood-thirsty fanatics around her, we will crumble like the Roman Empire . . . but probably much faster, and in a whole lot uglier/crispier fashion.

Why do I believe that? I dunno. I just do. But I know it in my bones.

Somebody told me that this particular belief makes me a Christian Zionist. I dunno about that either.

But Bill Clinton and I agreeing on something probably "IS" a sure sign of the end times.
