After the trial, the press and the soapbox is GONE, the spectacle is OVER, the lawyers will collect their fees . . . and he who stomps & claps will be IRRELEVANT.
The sentence was actually the Judeo-Christian thing to do: "Thou shalt not kill."
He who stomps & claps will have plenty of time to mull that over after he goes directly to jail.
I wonder. Do the Gideons stock Bibles in federal prisons - like they do in hotels?
